FAFSA Volunteers Needed!

It is that time of year again!

FAFSA Memphis is a county-wide effort to provide free, professional assistance to families completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

FAFSA Memphis Kickoff is an opportunity for volunteers in Memphis and Shelby County to work together on the same day to help students and families at various locations throughout the county complete the federal application form required to obtain college financial aid. The FAFSA is required for any student seeking federal and state financial aid, including grants, work-study opportunities, and loans at most schools across the nation. This outreach effort mobilizes financial aid professionals, primarily from colleges and universities, to help college-bound students and their families complete the forms required for financial aid.

Training for FAFSA Memphis information workshops and completion sessions will be held at Leadership Memphis, 365 South Main, Memphis 38103. Trained volunteers will be able to go out to various locations throughout Memphis, including schools, churches and community centers to assist with FAFSA Applications.

This training on September 29th is great for updates for the upcoming year and for newcomers that need basics FAFSA information. The session will be facilitated my Felicia Orr, Outreach Specialist Southwest TN for Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC).

September 29, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
